My students are looking for help in understanding fundamental concepts and I explain it to them using everyday examples. I do tutor middle school students although most of my students are either at high school or freshman college level. My approach is to begin with easy problems to gauge a student's level of understanding and then I gradually proceed to more challenging problems. I take the same approach in group tutoring which can be a challenge because not all students have the same level of understanding.
