About Sam
I have five years of Math teaching experience at various levels. I have taught 8th Grade Algebra, 9th Grade Geometry, 10th Grade Algebra 2, 11th Grade Precalculus, and 9th Grade Physics.
In general, I am very easy to get along with, and I like to talk about sports, pop culture, and other things while I tutor.
I am very accustomed to working with kids and I thoroughly enjoy it.

I'm different than most teachers because I let the student do most of the talking, and I usually respond with questions. "What do you think? How do you know you're right?" I believe that when kids have to listen to teachers talk for a long time, they zone out and do not learn. When the student is the one doing the work, he or she is able to learn more. I am there to guide and help and explain when needed, but I am not there to lecture.
