About Mara
I have ADHD, this is weird to mention first off, but it helps me relate better to those who are struggling with focus and organization issues. These can impact school a lot and cause anxiety, which can over all cause problems.
I am patient and caring and will work with you to find the best way you learn. We can work together to improve your skills and build new ones so you can apply those both to mathematics and other subjects.

The first session is rather relaxing, I'll introduce myself and get to know you, getting an idea of how you best learn and seeing what you are learning. We can discuss any other topics you need more assistance with and what your goals are.
From there it will run just like a normal session.
How each session goes
- We start by talking about the current lesson you are learning, formulas, methods, ext.
- Next we begin going through struggle areas step by step with explanations for both how to do it and why its done that way.
- I will present some problems to practice with in session and out of session so you can improve.
- Finally we can go over any other questions, review old material, or even cover up coming material for class.
Since I am online, I will be sharing my screen and working through problems using a drawing tablet so you will have a visual for each problem.
If Asked I can record the session to look back at for no extra cost, or send you copies of the notes/work after each session.
I can teach a range of levels, starting with basic math taught in elementary and middle school, to pre-calculus taught at college levels.
I am best at algebra, functions, and most trigonometry at high school and early college levels.
I have the ability to adjust and adapt to different learning styles, given my experience teaching online and in person I can help overcome any obstacles you are experiencing, whether it is Math or other problems.
