I approach each topic with a real-life application to add relevancy. I then provide background and foundational information on the topic, followed by examples. The examples inspire questions within students which are asked to gain understanding. After examples are completed, students are given independent practice to complete in order to see the amount of information that was retained. I use this information to understand the areas to reemphasize.
