About Mario

Hi! My name is Mario. Overall, I have tutored high school and college students in the past. I love to see when people gain confidence in learning. I have one BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, one BS Degree in Polymer Science and one MS Degree in Polymer Engineering, so the topics I choose to tutor are basic concepts for me.

For a summer, when I started, I tutored a few college students in chemistry. One small group of four who were all going for a nursing degree would come in a couple times a week and we would go over problems. They would read me the problems and I would interact with them by using a whiteboard. They seemed to be very pleased. I also tutored several high school students independently for a couple of years in chemistry and math in after school hours to help them on their homework.

I have over 5 years of experience tutoring students. I also have chemical and food quality lab technician experience in my background. Most recently, I have been tutoring online mostly algebra and chemistry. I am looking to expand the number of students and I am always looking for new ways to improve my teaching.

About the lesson

There are many ways to teach students. However, I feel that it is necessary to find different ways of looking at concepts generally help in understanding, especially when a student doesn't quite understand something. It is necessary to understand what the student already understands and work flexibly from there. That is what learning is all about! I would like to make a difference in people's lives. That is what motivates me.
If you would like to contact me, we could talk more about what your needs are and weak areas that you need help with. We will concentrate on these areas first as most science and math courses rely on prior understanding of material. I will try to the best of my ability to be flexible and prompt in responding in every aspect of tutoring you. Any suggestions or ideas you have to fit your needs would be considered.
