About Victoria
I'm a college student at Amherst College, a small liberal arts school in Massachusetts. I study Math and Music, and feel most comfortable teaching those topics, but I can also help with English and Social Sciences. I've worked with children ages 5-12 as a camp counselor for two summers. From that, I learned a lot about how to communicate ideas effectively with children of different ages. I've also worked as a tutor before for a year, helping a girl with learning disabilities navigate online school, mathematics, and her humanities courses.

My lessons are aimed towards K-12 students. We'll start by going over what your goals are with the lessons, as well as what your preexisting strengths and weaknesses are with the topic at hand. Then I will develop a lesson plan that works well for you! With math, a lesson might look like me going over a concept and answering questions on it before working through practice problems together so that you can see how the thought process works. Eventually, once you feel comfortable with the topic, I'll have you teach me how to do it to demonstrate your understanding!
