About Diego
I've always enjoyed mathematics because of its logical, straightforward nature. To me, every problem has a solution—you just need to find the right path to it. Over time, I discovered that I enjoy something even more than solving math problems myself: helping others solve them.
What motivates me most is seeing students succeed. I love helping people recognize the patterns and connections that make math click. Once those concepts come together, students often gain not only better grades but also greater confidence in their own abilities.
I have over 1.5 years of experience as a mathematics tutor in my college's tutoring department, where I worked with students across a variety of skill levels. During that time, I learned that every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching to each individual. My goal isn't just to help you get the right answer—it's to help you understand the "why" behind it so you can solve future problems with confidence.

My teaching approach begins with understanding how each student thinks. I ask students to explain the problem in their own words so I can identify exactly where the disconnect in their understanding occurs. Instead of simply providing answers, I guide them through the reasoning process by breaking concepts into manageable steps and asking questions that help them build confidence and develop independent problem-solving skills.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs, starting with a review of challenging topics before working through examples and practice problems together. I tutor middle school, high school, and early college students in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and introductory Physics. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students not only solve the current problem but also gain the skills and confidence to tackle future ones on their own.
