About Swethan

I am a recent Mathematics graduate from the University of Sheffield with a genuine passion for the subject. Mathematics has fascinated me from a young age, and I enjoy helping others build both their understanding and confidence. I want to help students achieve excellent results but also to show them that maths can be both rewarding and enjoyable.

Having completed my GCSEs, A-Levels, and university studies relatively recently, I have a strong understanding of the challenges that students face in today's education system. I know how demanding exams can be and which study techniques are most effective, allowing me to relate to students and explain concepts in a way that is clear, approachable, and engaging.

I am patient, supportive, and committed to helping every student reach their potential. Whether you're aiming to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or build confidence in mathematics, I will tailor my teaching to your individual needs and work with you every step of the way.

About the lesson

I offer personalised one-to-one maths tuition for GCSE and A-Level students, tailoring every lesson to each student's individual needs, learning style, and goals. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to build confidence and develop a genuine understanding of the subject.

To create a personalised learning plan, the first free 1-hour consultation will allow me to assess each student's strengths, identify areas for improvement, and discuss their academic goals. From there, I design structured lessons that target their specific needs while adapting the pace to ensure they feel comfortable and supported throughout.

My teaching approach is flexible and collaborative. I like to work through examples together, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and encouraging students to think independently rather than simply providing answers. I believe students learn best when they actively engage with problems, so I aim to guide them towards solutions while helping them develop strong problem-solving skills. I'm also happy to adapt my teaching style based on student feedback to ensure lessons are as effective as possible.

Lessons typically last between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the student's preference and requirements. My tuition is suitable for GCSE and A-Level students of all abilities, whether they're looking to strengthen their understanding, improve exam performance, or challenge themselves further. Above all, I hope to help students achieve their academic goals while developing greater confidence and appreciation for mathematics.
