About Wianne

Hi! I'm a university student with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. I completed HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and Mathematics Extension 2, and I understand the challenges that come with studying advanced mathematics.

Through my own experience as a student, I have developed effective strategies for approaching complex problems, managing exam preparation, and building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.

My lessons focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and helping students understand the reasoning behind mathematical methods rather than relying on memorization. Whether you are looking to strengthen your foundations, improve your marks, or prepare for upcoming assessments, I will tailor lessons to your individual needs and learning pace.

About the lesson

Teaching Approach:

I believe that effective mathematics learning comes from building a strong understanding of concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas. My goal is to help students develop confidence in mathematics by breaking down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps and encouraging them to approach problems with logical thinking.

I tailor my lessons to each student's needs, whether they need help strengthening their foundations, understanding difficult topics, improving problem-solving skills, or preparing for assessments and exams. For high school students, I focus on explaining concepts clearly, working through examples together, practicing different question types, and developing effective exam techniques.

A typical lesson lasts 2 hours, although I am happy to offer 1.5 hour lessons depending on the student's needs. Each lesson includes reviewing previous content, introducing or explaining new concepts, guided practice, and time for students to ask questions and clarify any difficulties.

I completed HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and Mathematics Extension 2, giving me firsthand experience with the NSW Mathematics syllabus and the skills required to succeed in advanced mathematics. Having recently completed high school myself, I understand the common challenges students face and can provide practical study strategies, problem-solving approaches, and exam preparation advice.

My lessons are suitable for high school students from Years 7–12, including students studying Mathematics Advanced and Mathematics Extension 1, who want to improve their understanding, confidence, and academic performance.
