I have over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience, having started teaching mathematics in 2015. Over the years, I have supported students at different academic levels, both individually and in groups. I have also served as a Faculty of Science tutor at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, and participated in academic tutoring activities within the Department of Mathematics at the University of Ibadan.
My academic journey began with an Ordinary National Diploma in Statistics from The Polytechnic, Ibadan. I later earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan. I am currently pursuing an Erasmus Plus Joint Master’s programme in Mathematics for Real-World Applications, with a specialisation in Mathematical Engineering. I completed the first year at the University of L’Aquila in Italy and am continuing my second year at Brno University of Technology in the Czech Republic.
My areas of expertise include algebra, calculus, probability, statistics, geometry, differential equations, linear algebra, mathematical modelling and numerical methods. I can also help students apply mathematical concepts using Python, particularly in data analysis, quantitative finance and computational mathematics.
My teaching methodology is student-centred and adapted to each learner’s ability, goals and preferred learning style. I begin by identifying the student’s strengths and areas of difficulty. I then explain each concept in simple steps, use relatable examples, solve problems collaboratively and gradually encourage the student to work independently. I focus on genuine understanding rather than memorising formulas.
I use practice questions, guided exercises, visual explanations and regular feedback to monitor progress. For examination preparation, I help students identify recurring question patterns, improve their problem-solving speed and avoid common mistakes.
In addition to my formal education, I have completed professional training in Python programming, robotic process automation and Microsoft Power Platform technologies. These technical skills enable me to make lessons more practical and demonstrate how mathematics and statistics are applied in technology, finance and real-world problem-solving.
My goal is to create a patient and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, overcoming their fear of mathematics and developing lasting confidence in their abilities.
