About Finlay
I am one of the strongest mathematicians in my school, and soon will be undergoing an undergraduate degree in maths. I have taught several of my peers and other age groups in both formal and informal circumstances, including a good friend who managed to achieve an A in their GCSE as a result of my support. I also speak very good German and offer language lessons for those interested. As for maths, I cover pure maths, calculus, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics and mechanics and much more!

My main concern whilst teaching is to make sure that I am tailoring it as best as possible to my student(s). With a subject like maths, it's important that I am patient, as well as consider that everybody learns in a different way. I like using many different methods such as problem sheets, written exercises, interactive computer programmes etc. and make sure any goals set from the beginning of a lesson are met at the end.
