Hi! My name is Austin Smith, and I am a 3rd-year student of Mathematics at the University of Idaho. I am a graduate of both North Idaho College and Coeur d'Alene High School. I've loved math since elementary school, and I love tutoring because it lets me share that love with tons of other people.

I believe in the watch, together, on-your-own method of learning math. With any chapter or problem you might be struggling with we will:
1) Explain the math behind the problem, and then do an example problem.
2) Work together to do another problem, with a guided focus on how to work through it.
3) You do a problem on your own. If you do the problem correctly, we can move on to the next concept. If not, no worries, we can keep working until we try again.
I think that working together is fundamental in education. Doing problems on your own incorrectly will only teach you how to do problems incorrectly on the test. However, if we work together and do the practice problems correctly, you'll be positioned to do the test problems correctly.
