About Kaitlyn
I am a college mathematics student with two years of one-on-one and small group tutoring experience. I have helped students in almost all levels of middle and high school math ranging from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus. I plan to pursue teaching high school mathematics as my career and love tutoring for the opportunity to gain experience in both teaching and interacting with students.

As a future teacher, math lover, and student, I know how important making a subject interesting can be for learning. That’s why I try to use real life examples and scenarios in my math lessons to help my students not only grasp the concepts better, but to also make tutoring sessions exciting. I pay attention to who my students are as individuals and try to relate lessons to their own personal interests. This also allows me to show students how amazing the world of mathematics is since it can be applied to almost anything they can dream of. Using this method has led me to see my previous and current students go from failing and hating math to being near the best in their class and full of curiosity.
