About Neliswa
I am a Mathematician with a Masters degree in Applied Mathematics. As a mathematics teacher/lecturer for more than 12 years, I have found that my passion for (and commitment to teaching) have only grown with every year. Even with the complexities of the current educational landscape, the feeling of getting through to that student who just was not “getting the hang of it,” or helping advanced students achieve their goals, never gets old. I have dedicated my career to helping students of all levels master the mathematics skills and concepts they need to go on to college and everyday life beyond high school and would love to continue that path with your company.

I have had the opportunity to teach students who functioned below, on and above grade level. I have been successful at accommodating diverse student needs by facilitating all styles of learners, offering individualized and extracurricular support and integrating effective materials. I encourage learning by using several different manipulatives, hands-on-activities and various forms of technology. By incorporating class discussions, open-ended questions and cooperative learning I can facilitate a highly interactive and inquisitive class atmosphere.
