About Joseph
I have taught both mathematics and philosophy at University level for twenty years. Over this time I've taught hundreds of students in my lectures, seminars and small group tutorials. It's my belief that mathematics can and should be fun and I think that, besides helping students to pass their exams, I can also communicate some of the fun and enjoyment (yes, really!) that can be found in mathematics.

I have twenty years of teaching experience in higher education, including the Universities of Cambridge, York and Leeds, including plenty of very small group (1-1 to 1-3) tutorials. I have a great enthusiasm for mathematics and knowing that different students learn the subject differently, tailor my teaching methods to individual students depending on their desires and needs. I enjoy working closely with students, learning about their own strengths and weaknesses and the areas where they feel they need to improve, so that together we can find the best regime for developing their mathematical skills. Whether you need to improve your maths skills to pass an exam or whether you are looking to deepen and strengthen your understanding of the amazing world of mathematics, I can help you achieve your goals.
