I have worked in tax, accounting and insurance for 9 years. Before that I spent a year working at a school which included some tutoring of maths to 7-13 year olds. I have a law degree from Cambridge and a Maths and Economics degree from the Open university.

My teaching method is pragmatic to suit the child. My belief is that it is important to know and show why something works rather than simply teaching it by rote. For example, I believe it is never too early to teach the concept of a “proof”.
