After Raph successfully coached my daughter through her Add Maths FSMQ I hired him again to help my son with his Physics and Maths GCSEs. I'm pleased to say that with Raph's tutoring he achieved a 9 in Maths and an A* in Physics.
Raph is a very flexible, accommodating, entertaining tutor and my son genuinely enjoyed - and even looked forward to - their sessions. I would definitely recommend him for GCSE students.

Raphael tutored my son for the academic year before he was due to sit his Maths IGCSE (July 2017). My son had always struggled with Maths and he had been predicted a grade C for his GCSE by his school before starting with Raphael. They met weekly and I was usually in the house when the lessons took place. I experienced Raphael as being friendly, professional, genuine, patient and punctual. My son enjoyed his lessons which says a lot as they took place at 6pm after a long day at school. I would definitely recommend Raphael.

Raph was the most patient, dynamic and enthusiastic tutor I could have asked for. Not only did he help deepen my knowledge but also increased my confidence. He was able to answer every question and always went through problems step by step. I highly recommend him for anyone seeking maths tutoring.

Raphael related well to my 17/18 yr old, he assessed his needs and applied the tutoring to match my sons personal requirements. The sessions were well thought out, challenging and interesting. And by some reports - fun!
My son actually enjoyed the experience and because of this was able to apply himself and learn.

Raphael tutored me from my final year of GCSEs to the end of A level, his expleneations and teaching methods helped me gain a much greater understanding of physics and especially maths.

Raphael began teaching my son Sebastian Mathematics and Physics running up to his GCSEs and not only was he a pleasure to have around and greatly supportive to Sebastian who went on to achieve A Stars in both subjects. He then helped Sebastian again with his Physics and Mathematics at AS level and on to A Levels achieving top grades in both subjects. I really can't recommend him strongly enough, he has a lovely gentle manner with his students giving them the confidence and courage to achieve their goals and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him. He was always available if I had any concerns and even called Sebastian on a number of occasions to calm his nerves pre-exams which seemed to do the trick.

We hired Raphael to help my daughter through her Add Marhs FSMQ as she wasn't being taught this in school. He only had nine months, 1 hour a week to teach her the entire syllabus but she got a Grade B..
Raphael has since started helping her with her A level physics and Maths and Further Maths and he is also working with my son to get him through his Add Maths FSMQ.
We would highly recommend him.

It turns out that Perry’s achievement in his A2 exams was described before the exams by his head of department as “impossible’. It meant he had to get over 95% in all his modules including re- takes. So, unlikely, but not impossible after all.

A level maths tutor

Raph has tutored my son who is in Year 10 this year in maths and physics. He is a fantastic tutor who works my sin hard but does it in such a way that my son enjoys their sessions together- they are always laughing as they work! I cannot recommend him enough. He has allowed my son to feel ahead of the game in maths and has a great sense of his strengths and weaknesses. My son's mathematical skills and physics ability have advanced enormously working with Raph and his confidence has risen with his growing knowledge in each subject. .

Raphael tutored my son to prepare him for his GCSEs from September 2013 to May 2014. Over that period Raphael worked with care, dedication, humour and professionalism, providing appropriate subject guidance and support whilst building my son's confidence. He was very well organised and thorough and I would fully recommend him as a tutor.

Raphael was a great help to me. He helped me prepare for a graduate numeracy test. He took me back to basics and was able to clearly explain ways to improve my methods. He has a lot of patience and reassured me of my ability, giving me tips on how to work effectively but also under time constraints. He was able to condense a lot of content into just a couple of sessions. He also made sure that I understood everything throughout the sessions and did not hesitate to recap.
Overall, I would highly recommend Raphael he really boosted my confidence and made me realise that maths does not have to be so difficult.

I'm incredibly great full to Raphael, he was really kind and even went out of his way with agreeing to book a tutoring session with such short notice and even travelled quite a distance. I'm a very happy client of his as he helped me gain understanding in maths which I never understood at a level. Most of all helped prepare me for my pre employment numeracy test which I miraculously scored 100% all thanks to Raphael. I had taken this particular test about 2 or 3 times in the past and had always failed it. I'm extremely pleased. Would recommend him any time any day.

Raphael ensures the basic blocks for an understanding of Maths are in place he then builds on them, all the time increasing the student's success and confidence. He makes learning fun,Raphael instill a can do attitude in his students.

Raphael did a great job of helping me to prepare for university at very short notice. Despite the maths I study being more specialised towards Economics, he was able to prepare lessons that covered the required material, whilst tailoring it to meet my specific needs.
He kept me motivated and also gave useful advice about revision and study skills which many students struggle with. Raphael was also very flexible and made himself available when I requested extra lessons which was extremely helpful.
