About Tamsyn
I have always found maths and physics to be very interesting subjects to study. I love the problem solving nature of the subjects and have often been the person my friends and siblings turned to for help. I graduated with an ATAR of 99.85 and I have followed my passion into starting my PhD in astrophysics. I hope I will be able to help you both survive and enjoy maths and physics.

Hello! I'm Tamsyn and I'm currently a PhD student at Swinburne University studying astrophysics. I have a masters degree with distinction in Physics from the University of Western Australia. I have plenty of experience doing private tutoring sessions in Victoria and Western Australia, for both students struggling to keep up with a subject as well as those who are doing well but want to improve from a B to an A. I am able to tutor maths for any grade from primary to high school, including ATAR methods, specialist as well as ATAR physics. I will tailor the session to the student's need. This could include designing lessons following the student's current syllabus, or allowing the session be more student lead with focus on specific areas they have had difficulty with that week. Note I will not simply provide answers to the homework/assignments that the student has due, but rather I will focus on understanding the concepts being taught in class. Usually I do a one hour session a week, but available to do fortnightly sessions or two hours a week depending on the students needs, and I have the flexibility to increase frequency of sessions close to exam time.
