About Aaron

Hello, my name is Aaron and I am currently studying a double degree of Bachelor of Science and Master of Teaching. I would like to have the opportunity to provide private services to your child in improving their grades at school in the following subjects: Australian Curriculum Maths, Chemistry and Biology. I have been tutoring these subjects for the past four years and have seen improving grades in every students I have taught. I have gotten As in Maths Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Research project and achieved a raw ATAR of 95.95, and have also familiarised myself with the new Australian Curriculum including year 12s.

With a goal in successfully becoming a high school teacher, and with great passion in teaching others, having me as your tutor will ensure improvements in grades as I will not give up trying and find any means in helping your child to improve! Patience is really important in improving students understanding of concepts, and that is what I am really good at!

About the lesson

Firstly, I will assess your child to determine where they are at in terms of the chosen subject, this being what topics they are confident at and what topics they are struggling with. Not only that, I also keep an eye on what type of student they are. By assessing these, I can determine the type of teaching method that would best be suited for your child in helping them understand the topics and improve their grades. Generally, I will teach topics ahead of class to ensure that when they reach this particular topic, it will only be revision for them as they would have mastered the skills in completing the questions of the given topic. I will explain the concept, give them questions, and making sure they are confident in solving them. If they get it wrong, I will explain it in a different approach. In some subjects such as Biology and Chemistry, I have powerpoint slides with colour codings of important notes to write down, all based on the Australian curriculum course outline. Tests will be made and given to your child to complete, as a guide for them to know where they are at, and a guide for me to know which part they should improve on.

The rate set is the minimum charge. My rates depend on the student's year level from $25 - 40, whether they like home-visits, or discount rates for group sessions.
