About Julia
I studied Mathematics at the University of Bath, which was something I never imagined doing. In fact, I didn't even think I was going to take A-level maths, because I didn't think I'd be good enough.
I remember how difficult I found lessons at school and I always felt like everyone else in the class was smarter than me. I always needed things explained to me more than everyone else in the class.
A few years ago, I volunteered tutoring GCSE maths and I loved being able to help students improve their maths skills because I know what it feels like to find it difficult.
But just because you find something difficult now, doesn't mean it will stay like that. Maths is for everyone, and I'd like to help students see that.
