About Karla
Hi! I'm a PhD graduate who enjoys talking and teaching about science, in specific maths and physics. I am also a native Spanish speaker so I can help with your Spanish too!
I did my PhD in Bioengineering, specific in mathematical modelling of fluid flow (fluid mechanics), but come from a wider engineering background with components of mechanics and programming.
I have experience as Graduate Teaching Assistant (University level teaching/tutoring) and in Summer School talks (Year 9), with the occasional science experiment in primary key stages 2-4. As Outreach Ambassador, I am also keen on getting more students enthusiastic about STEM subjects so my job is truly done when the students can see the broader potential of their chosen topic.
I am flexible with regards to timing, pace and style of teaching, and can therefore fit to the student specific needs.
