I look at the syllabus of the student and work through each chapter accordingly. I set questions after each chapter similar to the exam style questions they will have to do. I take extra time to explain the more difficult chapters thoroughly, making sure the student understands and I adapt my way of explaining the problems to each individual so I make sure they remember exactly what I teach them and they can apply these methods. I make sure the student is learning precisely what he/she will need for examination and focus on exam technique more than anything as I know the importance of this. I make sure they do many past papers so they will be prepared for the exact style of questions they will encounter in their exam.
