About Maryam
I am an experienced senior classroom mathematics teacher(PGCE trained by UCL+hold a QTS) and tutor with over 4 years of experience providing high quality, teaching. I am also a GCSE Examiner and I specialise in GCSE, iGCSE, A Level Mathematics and further mathematics. My lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s ability, learning style and academic goals. I focus on developing genuine mathematical understanding rather than simply teaching students how to memorise methods. I break down complex concepts into clear, logical steps and use targeted practice to build accuracy, problem solving skills and exam confidence. Whether you are aiming to strengthen your foundations, improve your grades, prepare for examinations or achieve the highest possible results, I provide structured, focused and supportive tuition designed around your individual needs. This specific post caters to KS3-KS4 inclusive to GCSE/iGCSE maths and GCSE/iGCSE further mathematics.
One to one sessions available with tailored questioning and work according to the ability of the student. Reflective teaching will include dissecting the strengths and weaknesses of the student to ensure where gaps in the knowledge can be filled to strengthen the fundamental concepts of each topic.
