About Thea
Although I am quite young for a tutor I believe I will be able to really help younger students in their learning by forming connections with them. I have learnt through being a sports coach, a scout and a cub leader that communication, especially with younger students, is incredibly important for one's education. I completely understand that being taught by someone a lot older than you or with whom you can't associate with can be very difficult. It is because of this that by being closer to their age I would hope to be able to build a sense of understanding and trust between one another so that I can help them to my full extent. I also spent time last year tutoring for a non-for profit organisation, switching between students each week ranging between many age groups and subjects.

Depending on the age of the student/s that I am working with, each lesson will look different. Whether the student/s needs help with specific aspects of their homework or concepts they have begun at school, they are studying for an assessment, or they want to move ahead of their class, I am happy to tailor each lesson to their needs. In general I will run 1 hour sessions however if I am asked to run shorter or longer ones I am more than happy to do so, and similarly I am open to either one-on-one sessions or group sessions. As well as this I am more than happy to check work outside of the lesson time for them. I spent time last year tutoring for a non-for profit organisation, switching between students each week ranging between many age groups and subjects.
