I believe that for a student to effectively learn they must be fully engaged in the task at hand, and the easiest way to engage students is to make a task enjoyable and rewarding.
Based on this philosophy, my teaching style emphasises practical, problem solving techniques, focusing on theory only where necessary.
I'll teach in small, achievable steps, building on a student's existing understanding of a topic in a way that should be challenging and productive, but also enjoyable, and always working towards the student's goals!
Having recently graduated from The University of Warwick in the UK with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering with Sustainability, I have a broad knowledge and understanding of mathematics and physics. I've tutored students for the past 7 years in both of these subjects, generally aged 8-18.
. Due to the Corona Virus, I've reduced hourly prices as I understand parents' desire to keep children at home, but I want to reduce the financial burden this may cause.
. Can provide further hourly discounts if lessons are more than 1hr
I have no reservations in vouching for Joe as a tutor: as my son's tutor of three years he helped him study for and achieve excellent grades in maths and physics. Joseph was always a pleasure to have round and will be missed.
I have know Joe for 9 years throughout school and the early years of our adult lives. He is very good at communicating ideas and showing his understanding of things. He is a good mathematician and that along with his great people skills make him a great tutor
