About Mara

I’m a dedicated Math tutor with over 5 years of teaching experience and a Master’s in Mathematics (MMath). My passion extends beyond equations and problem-solving — I’m deeply fascinated by the history of mathematics and how human curiosity shaped it over centuries. I believe that understanding where mathematical ideas come from makes learning them more meaningful and enjoyable. In my lessons, I explore how ancient civilizations like the Egyptians, Greeks, Indians, and Babylonians laid the foundations of modern mathematics. I enjoy sharing how famous theorems, such as Pythagoras’ or Euclid’s, were discovered and how they influenced later generations of thinkers.
