About Timothy
I have 30 years' experience in software, much of it mathematical including in finance and graphics. I was employed as a mathematician by an investment bank. I have a passion for mathematics at all levels and for conveying my knowledge to anyone who is having trouble understanding and wants to learn. I have been informally tutoring friends and family since I was a child!

With each student, I get to know their individual style and make sure we both understand where their weaknesses and misunderstandings lie. I am careful to explain the parts they find confusing, gently correct errors, and give them plenty of practice problems so that they can develop fluency. I work to adapt to their needs and learning goals. I have a passion to develop understanding in my students.
