About Alexander
I am a student at the University of Queensland in his 4th year of a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering / Physics dual degree. I have tutored primary and high school students casually in the past. Now, I'm ready to go a step further and provide the kind of STEM engagement that schools can't.

If so, I have an opportunity for you.
I'll take your child's untapped creativity and funnel it into unique engineering projects designed by myself to challenge and fascinate. These can span the breadth of electrical, mechanical and software engineering disciplines.
The first project will be a predetermined one I use to demonstrate important engineering skills such as:
- Identifying and Choosing Desired Functionality (Goals)
- Identifying and Refining Scope (Constraints)
- Checking Feasibility (Budget, Complexity and Manufacturability)
- And finally, Creating a Solution using Iterative Design
For the second project, I'll work with your child to come up with a project they're interested in. This will be a much more hands-off process where they will be responsible for employing the skills demonstrated in Project 1 themselves. I really encourage my students to embrace the freedom 1 on 1 tutoring provides here and choose something weird or 'non-school' like:
- Learning how to Solder your own Circuit Together
- 3D Printing New Pieces for their Lego set
- Creating an Apple Catapult
- Controlled Block Tower Demolitions
