About Marc
I went to college at the University of Connecticut where I graduated with honors with a B.S. in mechanical engineering.
After starting my career as a Weapons Systems Engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat, I transitioned into a full-time career of tutoring STEM subjects. I love working with students, and consider myself lucky that I get to help inspire our next generation of engineers, mathematicians, physicians, and scientists.
During my career as a tutor, I have helped over 600 students drastically increase their grades and achieve their academic dreams.
Best of all, I teach students to love math. When a student starts to better understand the material they are learning in class, math becomes fun!

My teaching philosophy revolves around helping students shore up their fundamental skills and catering to every individual student’s needs.
I break subject matter down into its most important elements, and help students understand the ‘how’ and ‘why’ at the heart of the material rather than relying on memorization.
I am extremely patient, and always very positive and encouraging to help build students’ confidence.
I have extensive experience helping students of all abilities, including students with IEPs and special needs, students in AP classes looking to get into top schools, and adult learners going back to school after a long gap (and everything in between).
