About Sophie
I am a qualified engineer currently working at Jacobs, with a strong academic background in Math, Applied Math, Physics and Chemistry. I graduated from Trinity College Dublin in Engineering with Management, specializing in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.
Throughout my college years, I also tutored students, giving me several years of experience explaining challenging topics in a clear and approachable way. My aim is to build confidence, strengthen understanding and help students achieve their best possible results.

I provide friendly, structured grinds in Maths, Applied Math, Chemistry and Physics, tailored to each student’s level, ability and goals. I focus on breaking difficult topics into simple, manageable steps and making sure students understand the underlying concepts before moving on to exam-style questions.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are adapted to suit the individual student. I work through key theory, formulas, calculations and problem-solving techniques, while also focusing on common exam questions and areas where students may be losing marks.
Lessons are suitable for secondary-school students, including Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate level, whether they need general support, help with a particular topic, or focused preparation for exams and assessments.
