About Saloni

I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate and currently work as a Propulsion Engineer in the space industry, where I apply Mathematics and Physics daily in real engineering projects. I have over five years of tutoring experience, having taught Math and English at Kumon, supporting students from Year 1 to Year 12. Beyond engineering and tutoring, I enjoy working on STEM side projects and staying active through sports, which helps me bring energy and real-world examples into my lessons. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to help students develop critical thinking skills and confidence that lasts beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

I teach Mathematics and Physics with a strong focus on conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. My lessons begin by breaking down concepts into simple terms, followed by guided practice and independent application. I encourage students to explain their reasoning so they develop confidence and deeper comprehension, not just memorisation.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, with longer 90-minute sessions available for exam preparation or assignment support.

I have experience tutoring Year 1 to Year 12 students, including selective school preparation, NAPLAN, HSC, and extension subjects. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level, learning style, and goals—whether they need foundational support, improvement, or advanced enrichment.
