About Jon
I am a mechanical engineering student in Hull university. I am currently in my first term on this course however have tansferred from a course in pure mathematics. I have a background in coaching as last year I captained and coached the university rowing team to a 7th place finish at the national championships. However now I am getting some experience and perusing a career in teaching.

My general approach to tutoring would be to bring the full up to date GCSE syllabus each lesson and find out what their teacher has covered so far that year. I would make sure the student has complete understanding of each topic they have covered in school. Whether that's a case of going through their current homework in the first part of the lesson, and then further catch up of previous topics in the second half. I would bring past exam papers and pick questions on the topic we have covered at the end of each lesson.
