About Saadia

I'm a registered teacher specializing in Film, Television and New Media. I've coached dozens of aspiring filmmakers and YouTubers to help them zone-in on their personal directorial style, and refine their practical pre-production, on-set, and post-production skills. I've been involved in Australia's film industry for over 20 years.

About the lesson

We can cover the basics of Media Arts and Film History (if you're not already covering that in school), and dive deeper into a world of constructing meaning through film – through project work, set-role deep dives, and critical deconstruction. What's involved in being a gaffer, for example? What is three-point lighting anyway? How do you operate a boom mic?
