About Dr Paul Poon
I am a medical graduate (M.D.) from Windsor University School of Medicine as well as a graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Genetics from University of British Columbia. I won the Golden Key award (for having an A average in my university courses). I have been tutoring MCAT, SAT, DAT, ACT, AP Calculus, Biochemistry for over 20 years. I also train for MMI interviews for medical, pharmacy, nursing, optometry, physiotherapy, and dental schools, at $100/hr. Having finished medical school, this is my greatest area of expertise.

My teaching is custom tailored to my student's unique learning needs, dispositions, personality, and goals. My general philosophy is that I do not just tutor content, but also take into consideration the student in a holistic view. Establishing rapport, and a collaborative approach to tutoring has been demonstrated to be more effective than teaching content "at" the students.
