About Dr Basmah

I am a qualified doctor from St George's University of London. I received my MBBS degree in 2022. I studied the IB at school and I had offers from London's top medical schools. I help students to feel confident, bring out the best in themselves and achieve their potential. Studying English at a high level, as well as my personal statement being used as an example for other students at school, means that I am the perfect person to help rearrange and polish your statement to stand out. I have helped several students prepare for MMI/panel interviews and am pleased to say they have all received offers. As well as teaching you key skills and what universities want, I can provide the unique first-hand experience of actually being a junior doctor to give you the most realistic impression of your future career.

About the lesson

Medical school interviews can be a scary and intimidating experience, especially when you don't know what to expect. Applications for medical schools occur before the rest of your year group, and it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. I teach key skills, top tips and help you to develop your confidence so that you stand out. Due to my exemplary personal statement, I received 4 medical school interviews in London. I help to write, proofread and rearrange personal statements to make you stand out to universities. I can coach you on both panel interview techniques and MMIs too. I run sessions teaching ethical scenarios that you need to be aware of, what to expect from medical school, the type of person that interviewers are looking for and just generally how to make yourself memorable/how to bring out the best in yourself. I also run simulated stations and questions so that by the time your interview dates arrive, you will feel prepared and equipped with enough knowledge.
