About Athalia
Hi! I’m a Medical Sciences student with a strong academic background and 4 years of experience tutoring math to elementary and high school students. I’ve helped students improve their understanding, raise their grades, and feel more confident tackling math problems.
I’m patient, reliable, and always well-prepared for each lesson. I take the time to explain concepts clearly and make sure students truly understand before moving on. I also create a supportive and respectful environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

My approach to teaching math is focused on building strong understanding and confidence. I break down problems step-by-step and explain concepts in a simple, clear way so students don’t feel overwhelmed. I use guided practice, examples, and repetition to help students truly understand how and why methods work, not just memorize them.
A typical lesson starts with reviewing any homework or problem areas, followed by learning or practicing a specific concept. We work through examples together, then the student tries similar questions with my support. I end with a quick recap and optional practice to reinforce learning.
What sets me apart is my patience and ability to adjust my explanations until something clicks. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
My lessons are for elementary to high school students at any level, whether they need help catching up, improving grades, or preparing for tests.
