About Михаил
Science has always been the area where I feel most alive: from medical textbooks and university seminars to laboratory work and research discussions. I am Mikhail, a medical student and biomedical researcher working at the Institute of Cytology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. My main academic interests are cell biology, neuroscience and molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration.
Alongside my studies and research, I have gained extensive experience working with students. I enjoy helping people move from “I don’t understand this at all” to “now it finally makes sense”. For me, tutoring is not only about explaining a topic correctly, but also about noticing how each student thinks, what blocks their understanding, and how to make the material feel manageable.
I would describe myself as calm, supportive and genuinely involved in the learning process. I like to understand not only what my students need to learn, but also what they are interested in, what motivates them and what makes a topic difficult for them. This helps me personalize my lessons and make complex material feel more relevant and approachable. I am demanding when structure and accuracy are needed, but I never believe in making students feel embarrassed for asking questions. A good explanation should reduce anxiety, not create more of it.
My medical education helps me see biological subjects through the lens of the human body, disease mechanisms and clinical logic, while my research experience helps me connect theory with modern biomedical science. This combination allows me to work comfortably with both school-level biology and more advanced medical or biomedical topics.
I teach in Russian and English, and I can also communicate in Polish. This is especially useful for students who study abroad, live in a multilingual environment, or need support when moving between different academic systems.
What I value most as a tutor is progress that the student can actually feel: clearer thinking, more confidence, better exam preparation and a deeper understanding of how biology and medicine work.

My name is Mikhail, and I help students finally understand biology and medical subjects in a clear, structured and confident way. I teach biology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and related biomedical subjects in Russian and English. I also speak Polish, which can be helpful for students living or studying in Poland.
In my lessons, I focus on understanding rather than simple memorization. I explain complex topics step by step, using diagrams, clinical and research examples, comparison tables, associations and exam-style questions. My goal is to help students not only remember the material, but also see the logic behind biological and medical processes.
A typical lesson starts with a short discussion of what the student finds difficult and what result they want to achieve. Then we go through the key theory in a clear and organized way, break difficult topics into smaller parts, work with examples or questions, and finish with a short summary of the main points. If needed, I can also help organize lecture notes, prepare for oral exams or build a personal study plan.
What sets me apart is the combination of medical education, biomedical research experience and a friendly, supportive teaching style. I know how overwhelming anatomy, physiology or biochemistry can feel at first, especially when a student has to study in a foreign language or adapt to a new academic system. That is why I create lessons where students can ask questions freely and gradually build confidence.
My lessons are suitable for school students studying biology, medical students, and students in biomedical fields who need help with biology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry or general medical biology. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals and learning style.
