About Luqmaan
Hi, I’m Luqmaan! I’m a hardworking 19-year-old medical student at St George’s, University of London. I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at an international British school in Oman, before moving to London to study Medicine.
Having completed my GCSEs and A-Levels relatively recently, I understand first-hand how challenging these years can be, particularly when balancing different subjects, exams and revision. Over time, I learnt that doing well is not just about working harder, but also understanding how to study effectively and approach exam questions with confidence.
Outside of academics, I have experience coaching and mentoring younger students through sport, which has helped me develop patience, communication skills and the ability to explain things in different ways.
I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Whether a student is struggling with a subject or aiming for the highest grades, I want to help them become more confident and independent in their learning.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centred around making sure students genuinely understand a topic rather than simply memorising information. I like to break difficult concepts down into simpler steps, before working through questions together and eventually allowing the student to tackle them independently.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and will be adapted to the individual student, whether they need help understanding content, improving exam technique or preparing for upcoming exams.
I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Maths and Grade 9 in GCSE Chemistry, followed by A grades in both subjects at A-Level, and I am currently studying Medicine at St George’s, University of London. My lessons are aimed primarily at GCSE and A-Level Maths and Chemistry students.
