About Aqeelah
Hi! I am a fourth-year medical student at the University of Birmingham.
Having achieved top grades at GCSE and A level, I am keen to pass on my knowledge and tips, to help you become successful.
Studying medicine has deepened my passion for Biology and Chemistry. Having also studied these subjects at A-level, I have an in-depth understanding of how to help others grasp even the most challenging topics and concepts.
Being a medical student has also allowed me to fine-tune my study methods and exam techniques. These include active recall and regular exam practice, which I incorporate into my teaching sessions.

I tutor GCSE Maths, English Language/Literature, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics; as well as A-level Biology and Chemistry. I am also available to help medical school applicants.
For any aspiring medical students- I have over 3 years of experience mentoring prospective medical students, and can do the same for you! Including personal statement advice, UCAT preparation, and mock MMIs: I can support students during the rigorous application process.
During my sessions, I adopt a reciprocal approach, focussing on your individual needs. In our first session, I will aim to get a sense of what you need, whether it's covering content, exam technique, or boosting revision methods. This includes using the specification to create personalised resources, quizzes, and exam questions.
Then, we can outline a long-term plan together, detailing how you can reach your goal.
