About Maisha
Hi, I’m Maisha and I’m currently studying medicine at the University of Bristol. At A-level I achieved a grade A in Biology and Chemistry. I understand how difficult these subjects can be having recently done my exams, so I’m keen to support students in making progress, gaining more confidence and improving their grades. I have experience as a tutor which has allowed me to develop my communication and teaching skills. I’d describe myself as quite friendly and approachable, so I’ll always do my best to create a welcoming learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions. No question is a silly question!!
I’m also available to give medicine application/UCAT advice and tips. :)

I offer tutoring for GCSE and A-level biology and Chemistry. I make sure to tailor each of my lessons to the individual student's needs to help them reach their full potential.
I have been tutoring for the past year and I understand that everyone learns differently. Before each lesson, I’ll ask if there are any specific topics or questions they’d like to cover, so we can focus on what they need help with most. I’ll also identify any weaker topics I notice and incorporate that into lessons. Each lesson will be 1 hour and during this I’ll explain the topic and go through example questions, and then move on to exam questions to try independently. At the start of every lesson, I’ll do a short recap of the previous content to ensure they understand the content and can progress.
As someone who has recently completed my exams, I can also share effective revision techniques and study tips that I found useful. I’m happy to teach students using any exam boards but I’m most familiar with AQA GCSE biology and chemistry, OCR A A-level Chemistry and AQA A-level Biology.
