About Thomas James
I am currently at the end of my second year of study at Brighton and Sussex medical school. Having received help from many other friends over the years to get myself here, I now want to pass on the favour to others.
Having achieved an A* in biology and chemistry, alongside an A in maths to secure my entry into med school, I can offer tutoring and support in these subjects. I can also provide support during the application period for university courses.
While I have a strong academic background, I also play hockey at national league level, which has taught me how to achieve in the classroom while maintain a fun and successful sporting career alongside my academic work.
Looking to Tutor students at either GCSE or A level, who are willing to work hard and are prepared to maintain a healthy work-life balance during their study period.

My teaching method would be to spend time with the student(s) explaining through the more complex concepts and content within their course, doing so in a clear and concise way. I often enjoy using diagrams, visual aids and interaction with the student through whiteboards to help this process, as I believe this enables them to cement the knowledge into their minds better. Then moving onto challenging them with questions and past papers to assess whether they have properly gauged the idea in their minds.
