About Aphra

I am studying medicine and am passionate about learning science and maths. In particular I love biology and would love to share this enthusiasm with your child. I have an undergraduate degree in immunology and achieved 3 A*s for A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I am a very visual and practical learner so I like to use lots of funky diagrams and drawings. I also like to get my students involved in my lessons so it won't just be sitting back and listening, I will be asking you questions, keeping you interested and getting you to have a go at some diagrams and exam questions as well. I am also happy to set revision goals each week so you have something to work on in between our lessons together.

About the lesson

I teach GCSE, maths, and sciences as well as A level biology.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE students and above, generally I teach those who have started the GCSE course so minimum year 9. I have been tutoring for over 3 years with lots of students going on to do very well in their exams. I typically give 1 hour lessons as I find any longer and the student struggles to keep total focus. I like to go over exam technique as well as content, using diagrams and exam questions to cover topics within the course. I am experienced with Edexcel, AQA and Eduqas exam boards as well as OCR for biology A level. My lessons take place online, I do have a student I see in person in Cambridge so if this is where you are based that can also work.
