My tutoring style is student-centred and strengths-based. I focus on helping students understand concepts properly rather than relying on rote memorisation, while also teaching subject-specific study strategies that actually work for biology, human biology, and psychology. A large part of my sessions involves working through exam-style questions and practice problems so students feel confident applying their knowledge under assessment conditions.
I usually tutor for one hour at a time, which I find is the most effective length for maintaining focus and making steady progress, though this can be adjusted if needed. I have experience tutoring students from Year 7 through to undergraduate level and have worked both as a private tutor and as a university teaching assistant.
I hold a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology, a Master of Applied Positive Psychology, and a Graduate Certificate of Population Health Studies, and I am currently a medical student. My lessons are suitable for high school and university students who want to improve understanding, build confidence, and develop better study habits alongside their content knowledge.
