About Ameer
Hi, I am Ameer and I just finished my A-Levels at Tiffin School. I am an avid and determined learner, who managed to get offers for studying medicine at Cambridge and UCL. For my application, I had to prove I had good communication skills and showcase myself in a very pressurised atmosphere. I participated in German debating at school and won the german award twice at a highly prestigious grammar school. At school I enjoyed sharing my knowledge at various clubs I ran such as German clinic, Maths clinic and biology classes. I was able to work with lower years to help them through KS3 as well as GCSEs. Being Deputy Head prefect at school also gave me opportunities to speak with parents, run events and give talks.

When teaching a language I feel as though it is important to understand the difficulties from a non-native perspective and working your way up and securing a strong foundational knowledge of the grammar and vocabulary. I like to give students opportunities to explore their skills and widen their knowledge, I believe that practise helps improve student's ability to grasp topics. This can be achieved via exam practise and technique as well as specified learning from each topic. At tiffin school I was able to teach german to lower years and I found that helping students see their own potential and improvement leads to results.
