About Chariss

I am studying Medicine at UWA (Assured Pathway to Medicine). With a strong passion for teaching, I’m offering personalized and customized tutoring for students from Year 1 to Year 12. As each student is different and learns differently, I customize a tutoring program for each student to ensure their academic success.

Dear Parents and Students,

My name is Chariss. I am studying Medicine at UWA (Assured Pathway to Medicine). With a strong passion for teaching, I’m offering personalized and customized tutoring for students from Year 1 to Year 10.

As each student is different and learns differently, I customize a tutoring program for each student to ensure their academic success.

As an experienced and friendly tutor, I make learning engaging and effective for each student.

If you are looking for extra support with your studies and improvement in your grades, I'm here to help you or your child to excel. I will journey with you to achieve your academic goal.

What do I Teach:
For Year 1 to Year 10. Also coaching students for NAPLAN, OLNA, and GATE:
* English
* Sciences (Human Biology, Biology, Chemistry),

For Math, Year 1 to Year 8, also Coaching students for NAPLAN, OLNA, and GATE:
* Math subjects
* Science subjects

Location:
At my home in Rossmoyne, at Riverton/Willetton Library, or Online.

Lesson:
1 on 1 private lesson. Group lessons are also available - please contact me to inquire.

My customized tutoring approach greatly helps my students:

1. my special tuition systems consist of ensuring the student first has a good and firm grasp of the concepts and their application. Eg for English, I help students to prepare them for the exam format and teach them how to approach each section with confidence and care. I work with students to help improve their English, literacy and writing skills.

2. I utilize a wide range of explanation methods depending on the child's learning style, including pictorial explanation, verbal explanation, flow charts and memory cards.

3. Lots of practicing and doing test and exam practice questions. From my experience, the key to learning and success is not just knowledge; eg for Math, what separates the good from the best students is speed and precision. With practice and right coaching, every student would be able to do well.

4. As each student is different, I set up each lesson differently to make student learn effectively.

5. I have vast and comprehensive Resources to support your child’s learning journey.

6. I am available to students outside of class via email or text message (as well as phone calls). Students learn better when they are engaged and have constant help and support from their mentors.

Rates for 1 to 1 lesson:
$35/hour for up to Year 6.
$45/hour for Year 7 to Year 10.
