Moving into meditation in easy stages, I combine spoken guided sessions with background information about how meditation works in the mind and body, and why it is effective.
I acknowledge that beginning meditation can be difficult in different ways for each of us - so I consult closely, and provide strategies to make meditation easy and accessible for all.
Trained over twenty years by enlightened teachers in Thailand, Sri Lanka and Burma, I am the author of two books on practicing meditation, and have been training people to meditate for 25 years. My goal is to cut away all the myths and new-age hype around meditation, to make it a practical part of life - easily understandable, effective and accessible to all.
Included for every student is a copy of my complete audio course (8 hours of information and lessons), either on flash-drive or CD, as well as an ebook of my latest book - 'Meditation That Makes Sense'
Trained in Vipassana meditation methods with Acharn Thawee Baladhammo at Sorn Thawee Meditation Centre, Chacheongsao, Thailand.
Training involved around 2 months per year of silent retreat, practicing a minimum of 10 hours a day – walking meditation and sitting meditation, with the emphasis on Burmese Method Vipassana – principal method being Mental Noting and Mindfulness training. Acharn Thawee died in 1996.
1994 - present
Set up Practical Meditation & Counselling in St Kilda, Melbourne.
My intention in teaching was to strip away the misinformation that has traditionally surrounded meditation, to bring it into peoples life as the practical skill that it is.
Since then I have taught individual clients, seminars, as well as corporate groups all over Australia, in Bali, America, and in Thailand.
1997 – 1999
Continued training with Luang Pu Sangvahn at Wat Tungsamakheedam, Suphanburi Thailand.

1998 – 2005
Continued training with Acharn Tippakorn at Ban Sawang Jai Meditation Centre, Kao Yai National Park, Thailand
During this time I practised free form Vipassana and mindfulness under Acharn Tippakorn’s guidance
