My teaching methodology puts emphasis on building technique and development of musicianship. I aim to achieve an understanding of each student's individual needs and preferred learning style. I work to implement a diligent, organised practice routine unique to each student and do so with warmth and encouragement. By setting out short and long term goals with my students, I am able to aid them in developing instrumental facility and repertoire necessary for AMEB/VCE exams and scholarship auditions.
I love to assist students in achieving excellent marks in AMEB certificates as well as music scholarships and VCE music subjects - both performance and theory/academic! I tutor in VCE music subjects such as Music Performance, Music Style and Composition and Music Investigation.
I teach violin at Mount Waverley Heights Primary School and Auburn Primary School. I am undertaking my Bachelor of Music Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. My recent accomplishments include receiving the University of Melbourne Corinna D'Hage string scholarship and performing at the VCE award ceremonies 'Top Class' and 'Top Acts'. I was awarded the VCASS string scholarship and performed in MSO hosted masterclass with Chinese violin soloist Lu Siqing.
At VCASS, I studied with Lisa Grosman and acted as concertmaster of the symphony orchestra and senior string ensemble.
