About Ivy
I am a reliable and dedicated Flute tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience. I work with School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute for academics, performance, or personal interest.
My teaching approach is structured and student-focused. I begin with basic techniques such as posture, breath support, finger placement, and tone control. As students progress, I introduce advanced exercises, scales, and musical pieces.

I teach flute using a methodology centred on Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, aimed at helping students become confident, expressive, and skilled musicians. I begin each student’s journey by understanding their current skill level, goals, and preferred learning style.
Through clear communication, I explain technical elements such as breathing, finger placement, posture, articulation, and musical interpretation in a manner that is easy to follow and apply. I provide constructive feedback and foster an open, interactive learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged.

I guide students to explore different musical styles, experiment with improvisation, and compose short pieces, allowing them to develop a unique musical voice. Alongside flute instruction, I integrate music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training, providing students with a strong foundation in musicianship.
