About Lai
My name is Hong Yi, but you may address me as Justin. Although I have a few years of experience working as an engineer, teaching (albeit starting out physically and one-to-one) is more fulfilling for me because I enjoy inspiring the next generation to consider pursuing careers which require quantitative skills, whether it is engineering or not.

Being someone trained in the applied sciences, my teaching technique incorporates real-life scenarios instead of relying on solving typical problems from books and past-year papers.
My teaching methodology is online group classes to enable collaboration between students from different locations, and they can gain a lifelong soft skill of teamwork when they enter the working world. Each lesson is 1 to 2 hours long, depending on its difficulty.
Currently, my highest qualification is an MEng in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace) from the University of Southampton, and I have tutoring experience of 1+ years.
My lessons are from upper secondary to pre-university level, corresponding to the age range of 16-19.
