About Alex
I have taught in the private and public school sectors for over 15 years. Teaching from 4th grade to 12th grade (up to Pre-Calculus), I have a great understanding of what material is coming up in the subjects ahead of you. Not only can I help you with understanding mathematics, I can help you understand what your own strengths and weaknesses are in learning. This will prove to help you for years to come.

I speak your language! I used to struggle with math in highschool. After failing a few classes back in 2003, it led me to a 6th grade math book to learn the basics. I decided that I wanted to help other young people not suffer through what I did. I can identify your struggles and implement a plan to address them.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I aim to educate young people by making the subject matter come to life. I do this through 5 different values: (1) the Interrogative (I ask good questions), (2) take a genuine interest in the individual, (3) meet basic needs and educational needs, (4) “Edu-tainment”-class will be educational AND entertaining, and (5) provide application of the subject matter to their lives.
